Today...

Yesterday.....

The weekend befor Christmas.

They say that if you don't like the weather in Texas just wait an hour or two.... Yesterday while we were building fence it was overcast, warm and humid. This morning it is 38 degrees and windy. So, there's a fire in the fireplace as we plan our work this morning.

Most likely it will be an abbrieviated workday.

Tractor broke down yesterday. Wouldn't start unless jumped, so got new battery and still won't start. Have to call tractorman & and tell Dan to bring his own tractor to put out hay on Christmas Eve.

Got all posts up for new fence on north side of yard at the house. Tacked wire up this morning before we left to keep cows out of the yard.

Made a little progress at taking down the Ash Tree on the North side of house. It seems bigger when you start trying to make it smaller.

Punk in good spirits and fine form. He worked all day helping us out.

Still only 16 calves.

....and that's the news from el rancho.

Austin Ps Christmas schedule

We'll be at the Rancho sometime on Christmas Eve and stay 'til around noon on C-mas day, at which time we'll head to Brookshire.
K will likely come back to the Rancho for a day or two sometime after C-mas to work before  NY day.
Things to do Christmas Weekend:
Do quick Profit and Loss calculation to assess status.  (Currently, I think we have a several hundred dollar profit for 2008.)
