I went to Brenham yesterday for the day. Pleased to see Mark and Laura Lee there when I arrived. Mark finished working on his new threshold on the Storage Shed. Then Mark and I changed the oil and oil filter on the tractor and put the new battery in it. It started right up. We also fixed a hole in the fence along S. Berlin Road in Nonnie's Pasture and checked the posts for staples along that stretch. Last, we cut up and moved off the road a tree that had fallen several week's (months?) ago along S. Berlin Road across from Mueller's house. Had to bring the tractor and hay fork to pick up the pieces.

I noticed a place along Mill Creek Road where someone had run into our fence and broke off at least one post. Cows don't have access to that spot, but it's something we'll need to take care of in winter. It's absolutely covered in vines now and I was lucky to have seen it.

Laura Lee mowed the yard.

We had gotten 1/2" of rain, and on top of the 1/2" last week, things were somewhat green.

Mark brought a peach pie.
