Dean, Mike and I were in Brenham this weekend. Dad did pretty good all weekend, but he got a little unsteady as we were walking back into Kruse yesterday. I think he was trying to go too fast thinking he was holding me up. I did get Mom's old walker out of the attic, cleaned it up and left it by the piano. I'll mention it to him next weekend.
We watched a lot of Olympic coverage, which Dad enjoyed. He enjoyed the entry of the athletes at the Opening Ceremonies and seeing all the costumes. He also liked the short Track skating.
Dean, Mike and I worked hard about 5 hours on Saturday and about 2 1/2 on Sunday repairing the old fence on the north side of the little house pasture along the Railroad ROW. I think the Little House Pasture is tight now. Look for photos on the blog. Very wet in Brenham.
And that's the news from the rancho.

P.S
I think im gettin' too old - that was as hard fence work as i can remember doing for a while. For every foot of fence we musta cleared two feet of brush - thick yupon trees, grape vines, and sticker vines. Thanks to Ranch Hand Mike. Kyle and I crashed Saturday when we got back to the house and then played some nice guitar, mostly without guides, which I really enjoyed. Just the interplay, listening and following each other. We had some good moments.
